Adoption Pending! Athena is a gem!!!!! She is a 1 years old, spayed female Doberman with the most goofy, playful, loving and happy personality. She lived with 3 small children ages 2, 3 and 8 years old, dogs and cats. Athena, we are told and reason for her surrender, had plenty of land to run on, was let outside (alone to run and no-one to play with) and would chase the cattle, harass the kitties and kill the chickens in her previous home (and received no vet care what so ever.) Today she is being fostered on a hobby farm like she previously lived, with chickens and goats. Athena has done no chicken killing, cat harassing, fence climbing or goat chasing, not once! Dobermans need to have a daily energy outlet, with their humans, and if they do not have this they will create their own play and games. We think this was the case with Athena in her previous home!!! Athena is the sweetest Dobe-girl you could ever meet. She will be a wonderful first time Doberman owner dog!  The foster family reports Athena stays by their side like glue, she goes for walks OFF LEASH in the woods and does not chase squirrels, critters, chickens or anything else and keeps a keen eye on her foster people at all times. Athena just want to be with her foster family and be the best girl for them. Athena is reliably house trained, and working on her crate skills. Athena health issues have all been addressed, she is now spayed and being treated for her positive lymes. She is fully vaccinated and micro-chipped. Everyone who meets her loves her. Athena has been going to doggy daycare at Ruffin' Inn Pet Lodge, www.ruffininn.com, check out some of her photos there. She is truly every ones friend!!!  See much more of Athena on our Facebook page as she is a busy girl and has a lot to say!! https://www.facebook.com/UnitedDobermanRescue/photos/a.242127899533878/827945204285475/?type=3&theater
