A Good girl! Rosie is a 8 year old Doberman X  Vizsla senior  female who is fully vetted, spayed and ready to find a new home! Due to declining health, Rosie's owners can no longer care for her. She was loved her entire life with countless hours spent by her previous owners training her, cuddling her and sharing their lives together. But we all know life can be cruel and can throw curve balls, and sadly that is what has happened. Rosie will love and snuggle you and be your constant companion throughout life. She is a very sweet and loving dog, who absolutely loves to cuddle. She rings a bell to go outside, she is learning how to pick up her toys and put them away and she knows many other tricks as well as hand signals. Rosie is very smart as all Dobermans are and loves training and learning new tricks. She knows how to follow behind when walking, how to untangle her leash, lay down, lay on her side, spin, wait, back up, wait outside a doorway, get a toy on command, go upstairs or downstairs or run on command, and she knows how to stand on her hind legs. She loves feeding toys and has learned to use a game board to find treats. Rosie is very obedient and has perfected the "Stay" command, she will wait all day, you can have her sit and then scatter treats all around her and make her wait to eat them until you tell her it's OK. She excels at most basic obedience, and is very treat motivated making her training easy, all though at times she will get distracted with things and critters outside. Rosie does not do well with some dogs, but has done well with some Dobermans, Great Danes, a black lab and a beagle. NO CATS! Rosie just wants to be the queen of her castle. Rosie will absolutely need a fully fenced yard, no exceptions as she does have a very high prey drive. Squirrel, bunnies and even cats make her on high alert and she will try to get' em!!! If you are looking for a low maintenance companion who will love you unconditionally, and need someone to clear out all the pesky varmints from your yard, that eat your garden and shrubs, Rosie is your girl! Please apply if you qualify! www.uniteddobermanrescue.org
