Rusty is a large red male Doberman looking for his furever home. Rusty came to us from a court seizure case where many dogs were living predominantly outdoors. Since he was not well socialized, he is initially aloof with new people, but really takes direction watching the other dogs in his foster home. At their cue, he will quickly warm up to people and wants to both give and get lots of love. We would love to see Rusty go to a home with a female canine companion to continue to boost his confidence.
Although Rusty’s age is estimated at 5 years old, he certainly acts like a younger boy with his play and goofy antics. Rusty LOVES playing with toys and will regularly empty the entire toy bin to play with ALL of them. Rusty plays well with his Doberman foster sisters and doesn’t bother the kitty in the foster home.
Rusty is navigating his way around in-home living and working on his manners and crate-training. He is super food motivated, smart, and eager to please, so he will be a quick study with some patience and training. After playtime and chewing on his bones, he is happy to curl up on the couch with you for snuggle-time.  Rusty is neutered, current on vaccines and microchipped. Apply if interested!
