Ranger is a docked and cropped handsome 4 year old purebred male Doberman. Very active and super smart. He is kennel trained and house broken. Knows his name and basics obedience like sit, down, come, leave it, drop it, kennel, place. He can jump up when asked. Extremely food motivated. Friendly with every person and so very good with all of our kids ages 6 on up. Did well at vet check ups with people handling him. When they made the sign for a Doberman that says: " I can make it to the fence with 2.8 seconds. Can you? " this was for Ranger and we are not joking, he runs unbelievably fast. His kennel seems to be his calming place as when hes out he is always on alert and will keep you and your property safe. He has a high prey drive but we were told lived with small dogs in his previous home. We think Ranger should be an only dog in the home moving forward. No cats! Ranger is neutered and up to date with all his vaccines. He was heartworm negative and is now on preventative. He is also on flea and tick medicine. Ranger loves stuffed animals and the kids have been learning quickly to put away their toys. We have been working with the "leave it" command, but Ranger seems to really love stuffed things. He is truly a kind dog with people and will need an experienced Doberman person in his forever home. Ranger has been found to be hypothyroid and takes a daily thyroid medication. Hypothyroidism is very common in the Doberman breed. 20% of all Dobermans are found to have thyroid issues. Thyroid meds are cheap and cost pennies per day to make them feel better. Ranger will need thyroid meds the rest of his life.
