Three-year-old Blue, a gentle giant of ginormous size weighing 115 pounds, found himself in a heartbreaking situation when his owners, faced with a government work transfer overseas to a country unwelcoming to Dobermans, had to surrender him. Despite the heartbreak and lots of tears, Blue's devoted owners contacted UDR, seeking a promising future for him, and we assured them that Blue will find his forever someone with us. Raised in a doggy daycare environment since a puppy, Blue developed a love for other dogs. He also does excellent with children and infants, as he grew up alongside a human baby who technically was his sibling. Blue attended formal boot camp training and is equipped with excellent manners, and of course, he is e-collar, house and crate trained. Blue grew up in his previous home with a family who loved him unconditionally and gave this boy every opportunity and socialized him well, to be the best dog he currently is. Blue is not your typical rescue as he never was without anything in his previous home and always had the best of everything life had to offer. Neutered and up-to-date on vaccines, Blue is currently in a foster home that has decided to foster to adopt, suggesting a high likelihood that he will be embraced as a permanent member of this caring foster family. As Blue awaits his forever homes decision, know his endearing qualities and loving nature make him a wonderful addition to any family fortunate enough to welcome him and we are thinking he may already have found this home!

If you are considering adopting know with UDR we allow and encourage families to "Foster to Adopt" as in Blues foster families situation. Consider applying to foster which lets you decide of your foster is a good fit for adoption or what we call "Foster Failure" and that's a good thing in our rescue! Thanks to Blues foster for taking this huge step in Blues life. Stay tuned!
