Meet Winnie, the 10-11-month-old Doberman mix who is an absolute hot mess express with no brakes and a borderline feral approach to life. This girl is like a toddler on espresso—zero manners, the social skills of a wrecking ball, and a playstyle that could best be described as overzealous enthusiasm. She plays way, way too rough with people, has no idea how to interact with other dogs (her approach is full-contact WWE), and small animals? Yeah, no, she thinks they’re squeaky toys. She’s already been passed around a few homes before her first birthday, probably because her love language is body-slamming you at full speed and then enthusiastically mouthing (gnawing) on your arm in excitement. She has no concept of personal space, believes she’s entitled to be in your face at all times, and her idea of making friends is charging at them like a caffeinated linebacker, so most other canines don't want to play with her.

Winnie has been in a boarding facility for almost a full month now, and while she’s safe, this is no place for a young, wild pup who desperately needs structure, training, and a real home. We’d love to see her in a home environment—doing home stuff with people, learning what it means to be a good girl, and finally getting the guidance she needs. She is not all bad, she does have some sweetness to her too! BUT, she requires someone with strong training skills or at least a firm hand to teach her that body-checking humans is not a form of affection. If you are confident you can handle her she needs you!!!! If you take on this project pup, the rescue will hook you up with whatever you need—training tools, moral support, lots of balls as she LOVES to play ball, maybe even a bottle of wine (no promises, but we understand if you need it). Winnie is fully vetted, spayed, chipped, housebroken, and crate trained (thank goodness). If you’re up for the challenge and want a lifetime supply of entertainment, Winnie is your girl. Just remember—helmet and knee pads not included.
