Meet Duchess – A Timid, gentle, kind Doberman Beauty Ready to Bloom

Duchess is a stunning 1-3-year-old Doberman weighing 64 pounds, and while her start was rough, her future is looking brighter every day. Found as a stray and overwhelmed with fear, Duchess was shut down and uncertain in the  shelter—but thanks to her rescuers, she’s beginning to feel safe for the first time in her life.

Duchess is a soft, sensitive soul who’s still learning to trust. She may pancake to the floor or freeze when unsure, but she welcomes gentle affection and is showing slow, steady progress with the help of her rescuers. She’s not yet confident sometimes needs a little help with new things, even going outside and through doorways, but once outside, she’s calm and observant.

The wonderful news? Duchess does great with other dogs and would truly thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help her continue building trust and courage. Her ideal forever home will be quiet, understanding, and committed to helping her grow through positive reinforcement, love, and consistency. This girl will be super clingy once she trusts the right human leader that she so desperately needs.

If you believe in second chances and have a heart for shy dogs with gentle spirits, Duchess could be the perfect match.

Now is Duchess’s time to bloom. Will you be her safe place forever? www.uniteddobermanrescue.org
